\nO setor de minera\u00e7\u00e3o no Rio Grande do Norte movimentou mais de R$ 3 bilh\u00f5es entre 2013 e 2023, segundo dados divulgados pela Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econ\u00f4mico do Estado (Sedec).
\nDe acordo com a Sedec, o setor gera cerca de 10 mil empregos diretos no RN. Al\u00e9m disso, o \u00f3rg\u00e3o aponta que nos \u00faltimos dez anos, o setor apresentou um crescimento de 222,93% no estado.

\nDurantes os dias 28 e 29 de novembro, Natal sediou o 5\u00ba F\u00f3rum Estadual Mineral para debater sobre o setor. O secret\u00e1rio de desenvolvimento do RN, Silvio Torquato, refor\u00e7ou a import\u00e2ncia da \u00e1rea no estado.
\n“O Rio Grande do Norte \u00e9 um dos estados mais ricos do Nordeste, se n\u00e3o for o mais rico, na \u00e1rea mineral. Esse \u00e9 o 5\u00ba F\u00f3rum Mineral que estamos fazendo, n\u00f3s reativamos o setor mineral e marcamos uma a\u00e7\u00e3o forte na minera\u00e7\u00e3o no RN”, disse.
\nO crescimento do setor come\u00e7ou a se tornar mais relevante a partir de 2020, com o incremento na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de subst\u00e2ncias, como calc\u00e1rio e as rochas ornamentais.
